FAQS

Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

We specialize in weddings, however, we also love and welcome the joys of planning a baby shower for an expectant couple, planning the first birthday for a child or even life’s later milestones such as an anniversary or retirement celebration. Any moment in life that can be celebrated, Out of the Boxx Events is there to help execute it.

How did you decide to get into wedding and event planning?

My love for planning and having a great time doing so lead me into the world of wedding and event planning. Along with the strong support system of friends and family constantly reminding me and encouraging me that I was born to do this!

Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

I have a commitment to not only Out of the Boxx Events but to my clients to stay abreast of the changes within the ever evolving wedding/event planning industry. I network constantly with vendors and other colleagues in within the industry as well as reading current magazine articles and blogs.

What important information should potential clients have thought through before seeking you out?

Potential clients should at least have a budget in mind. Budget is key to event planning. It is the basis for the style of event you are looking to have, the amount of guests you can invite as well as the location you can host your event. Once those fundamentals are established, you can proceed with planning.

What advice do you have for a client looking to hire a professional like you?

Advice I can give to anyone looking for a wedding or event planning professional is to learn the value of the services they are providing. Interview at least three different planners before you come to a final decision. Ask and address as many questions and concerns as you have to give you the confidence that you choose the correct person in the end.

What do you like most about being a planner?

I LOVE being able to help clients plan the wedding or event of their dreams. Knowing that I can take part, execute and share in one of the most important moments in their lives is priceless.

What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

I wish they would know the true value of having an event planner. Having one takes a tremendous load off of their backs. And that it is not all glamorous like it is in the movies. The reality of it is that we get headaches, our feet hurt after being on them for 10+ hours coordinating an event, we have body and back aches too but the client and the guests will never know because we keep smiling and ensure that everything goes as it should. It is definitely a profession you have to love in order to do it. And I love it!

Thank you to all of our past, present and future clients!
